Grave of the Fireflies

Synopsis

Seita and his younger sister Hotaru struggle to survive in the aftermath of the firebombing of Kobe. Orphaned and left to fend for themselves, the siblings retreat to the countryside to escape the devastation of post-WWII Japan. They face constant hunger and the growing indifference of a society depleted by war. As resources dwindle, their shared bond becomes their only means of enduring the harsh realities of starvation and isolation.
