Synopsis
Earth sits buried under subterranean shelters in 2199, struggling to survive an invasion by the Gamilos. After discovering a message from a stranded ship on Mars, Susumu Kodai and Daisuke Shima learn that the planet Iscandar possesses the technology needed to end the siege. To secure this help, the crew of the battleship Yamato must travel across the Magellan Galaxy. They have only one chance to reach their destination and return with the means to save humanity before Earth is destroyed.
