Synopsis

A bamboo cutter discovers a tiny infant hidden inside a glowing stalk of bamboo. He brings her home to raise her as his own daughter, naming her Kaguya. As she grows into an incredibly beautiful young woman, her presence draws the attention of many high-ranking suitors. While the forest around them reveals new riches, Kaguya struggles with her growing awareness of her mysterious origins. Her life becomes increasingly complicated as the truth regarding her otherworldly nature begins to surface.
