Synopsis
Mahito moves to a quiet rural estate following the death of his mother. His new life with his father and stepmother, Natsuko, seems stable until a strange gray heron begins appearing around the grounds. The bird claims Mahito is the "long-awaited one," disrupting the peace of his new home. As the creature persists in its visits, Mahito must confront the unsettling mysteries emerging within his new surroundings.
