Takashi Natsume

Takashi Natsume can see and interact with spirits, a trait inherited from his grandmother, Reiko Natsume. After taking possession of her legendary Book of Friends, he becomes a target for vengeful ayakashi hunting the book's power. Alongside the playful youkai Madara, Natsume works to release the spirits bound by Reiko's contracts. His childhood was defined by isolation and a reclusive nature due to his abilities, but he has since found stability with his foster family, the Fujiwara. While he maintains a cheerful demeanor, Natsume possesses immense spiritual strength used to combat youkai and build new connections. To free bound spirits, he employs visualization and a specific breathing technique passed down from Reiko, a process that often leaves him physically exhausted.
