Synopsis
Makio is a solitary novelist whose quiet life shifts when she becomes the guardian of her fifteen-year-old niece, Asa. Following a period of shared grief, the two women must learn to live together while navigating Asa's troubled behavior. As Makio takes on the responsibilities of caretaking, she finds herself learning how to nurture another person. Their relationship evolves through quiet moments of compassion and the slow process of accepting their new reality as family.
