Yune travels from nineteenth-century Japan to Paris to join Oscar, a French traveler, on his journey across Europe. Once they arrive, she begins working at Oscar's family ironwork shop. The shop is managed by Claude, Oscar's stoic nephew, who accepts her presence with visible reluctance. As Yune settles into life in the city, she and Claude begin to bridge their cultural differences through their shared daily experiences in the workshop.
