Synopsis
Ash Ketchum travels to the Hoenn region alongside Pikachu following his time in the Johto League. While traveling alone, he meets May after a bicycle accident involving Pikachu brings them together. They are soon joined by Brock and May's younger brother, Max. As the group moves through the region, they face various Gym Leaders and compete in Pokémon Contests. Their shared goal is to progress through these challenges to eventually reach the Hoenn League.
