Shigeshige Tokugawa

Serving as the Seii taishōgun of Japan, this ruler struggles to maintain true authority following his father's death and the devastating Amanto invasion. Due to his precarious political position, he views Police Chief Matsudaira as a vital father figure and mentor. While frequently seen navigating the nightlife of Edo under Matsudaira's guidance, he often crosses paths with Gintoki and the Yorozuya crew, frequently finding himself the target of playful harassment from Otae and the local women.
