An expert intelligence gatherer and spy, this character is frequently found playing solo badminton while dressed as Ryoma Echizen. Although his ninja skills remain largely untested beyond a failed mission against Gintoki, he maintains a unique bond with Shinpachi despite their rivalry. Despite limited appearances, his massive popularity in fan polls earned him fourth place, even though creator Hideaki Sorachi refuses to feature him on official volume covers.
