Scar Ani remains unnamed throughout the series, motivated by the death of his brother who sacrificed his life and limb to save him. In the 2003 adaptation, a failed attempt at human transmutation to resurrect a lost lover resulted in the accidental creation of Lust. He now lives haunted by the consequences of pursuing forbidden alchemy and the heavy price paid for his survival.
