Jun Aoi

As the first officer of the Nadesico, this character develops an unrequited affection for Yurika, leading him to leave the military to join her crew as her protector. Despite his feelings, he misinterprets their bond as a simple friendship, much to the crew's awareness. A recurring element of the story involves his humorous misunderstandings of Yurika's kind gestures, often mistaking her efforts, like cooking, as being solely for him when they are intended for others.
