Tanaka-san

This elderly resident of the ward makes regular office visits to see Miyoshi. She frequently discusses her daughter-in-law and her grandson, who is Yutaka's childhood friend and competitor. Despite her attempts to arrange a marriage between Miyoshi and her grandson, she ceases mentioning him once she discovers Miyoshi's dislike for him.
