Kotarou Katsura

Kotarou Katsura, a former comrade of Gintoki during the Joi war, remains a resistant figure against the Amanto occupation even after Japan's takeover. Wanted for terrorist activities against the Bakufu, he leads a group of followers and frequently changes his disguise to evade capture. Despite his violent past, Katsura evolves, aiming to change the country without unnecessary bloodshed. Known as the "Daybreak of the Joui Faction" by allies, his death was mourned even by rival groups. With an old-fashioned sense of humor and a tendency to exaggerate, Katsura occasionally takes on odd jobs while planning more significant actions, all while keeping his identity hidden under various disguises.
