Synopsis
Fourteen-year-old Chakuro lives as an archivist on Mud Whale, a small, isolated floating island surrounded by an endless sea of sand. Most people in his community possess deadly abilities known as saimia. His quiet life changes when he discovers a vast new land hidden beyond the desert. There, he meets a mysterious girl whose presence reveals secrets about his world and his own latent potential, forcing him to question the foundations of his tightly-knit society.
