Atom is a robot built by Dr. Tenma to replace the scientist's deceased son. After being integrated into society as a sixth-grader, the boy uses his immense strength to help the police track down rogue machines and criminal humans. Despite his utility, Atom faces constant prejudice from those who view him as nothing more than hardware. As he searches for the truth behind his own creation, he must confront the heavy secrets held by Tenma and find his place in a world that fears him.
