Synopsis
Ikoma is an engineer at Aragane Station who spends his days developing technology to combat the Kabane, undead creatures driven by a parasitic plague. After successfully forging a weapon capable of piercing the monsters' hardened hearts, he joins forces with Mumei, a skilled and mysterious fighter. They travel across dangerous territories aboard the Hayajiro steam train. As they hunt the creatures, they search for the truth behind the plague's origins while struggling to maintain their humanity…
