Synopsis

Oscar François de Jarjayes serves as the Captain of the Royal Guards in 18th-century France. While maintaining her position within the strict hierarchy of Versailles, Oscar hides the fact that she is a woman. When Princess Marie Antoinette arrives from Austria, an unlikely bond forms between the two. As they balance their personal loyalty to the crown with their growing affection, the social order begins to fracture. This connection deepens even as France moves toward the brink of revolution.
