Driven by a desire to overcome his past dishonest habits, this dedicated Haze Middle School Go Club member faces a difficult turning point when his friend Hikaru decides to pursue the Insei path. This choice creates deep resentment, as the upcoming tournament feels much more daunting without his longtime companion. Although the rift between them has effectively ended their friendship, he eventually finds the resolve to stay with the club after significant persuasion from his peers.
