Initially clashing with Dhalsim in Calcutta, he forms a bond with Ryu after the martial artist's interference secures his victory. Despite being caught in the crossfire of a chaotic battle involving Bison and Balrog, he demonstrates incredible resilience, eventually recovering to assist Ryu and Ken following their decisive confrontation.
