Morphine

Morphine is an ancestral spirit passed down through Lyserg Diethel’s lineage. She serves as his primary companion during the early chapters of the manga, maintaining a deep, historical connection to his family. Her role ends tragically when Lyserg chooses to discard her in pursuit of greater power. By replacing her with the much stronger spirit, Zeruel, Lyserg marks a pivotal turning point in both his character development and his magical progression.
