Yotarou is a former prisoner seeking redemption through the art of rakugo. His path changed after witnessing a performance by the Eighth Generation Yakumo Yuurakutei, an experience that led him to become the master's first apprentice. While those in the rakugo world affectionately call him "Yotarou"-a nickname meaning "fool"-he remains focused on mastering the craft of traditional comedic storytelling.
