Hayato Shinkai

Characterized by a calm and easygoing nature, this cyclist carries a deep sense of empathy, famously raising a rabbit named Usakichi after a tragic accident. Although a traumatic biking mishap initially drove him away from competitive racing, his teammates’ encouragement eventually brought him back to the Inter High. Now a freshman at Meisou University, he competes alongside best friend Juichi Fukutomi. He is known for his signature "bakyun" pointing pose and his constant habit of snacking on power bars.
