Tamako Arai

A third-year middle schooler and loyal companion to Miwa Yamamura, this student dreams of becoming a professional manga artist one day. Despite her deep passion for the medium, she goes to great lengths to conceal her true interests to avoid being labeled an otaku. This constant struggle to hide her fujoshi-like tendencies and secret love for manga defines much of her social interaction and personal character arc.
