Kino

Kino is a 15-year-old traveler who left their home country at age 13 because they felt their floral name was an insult. Moving through various lands with a three-day limit per stay, Kino explores different customs and histories while maintaining a stoic, gender-ambiguous identity. They travel alongside Hermes, a loyal motorrad, and carry several weapons, including the "Woodsman" semi-auto persuader and the "Flute" sniper rifle. While their survival skills allow them to vanish before danger strikes, Kino is guided by a specific philosophy: "The world is not beautiful, and that, in a way, lends it a sort of beauty." Though they may appear apathetic, they possess an underlying caring spirit. In the Gakuen series, Kino also appears as the magical girl "Mysterious Bishoujo Gun Fighter Rider Kino.
