Yasaburou Shimogamo

Driven by an intense fascination with the everyday lives of humans, tanuki, and tengu, this spirited tanuki resides in modern-day Kyoto. Though he and his three brothers earned the humiliating title of Kyoto's "four tanuki losers" following the death of his father, Souichirou, he remains undeterred. He embraces a whimsical lifestyle, frequently shapeshifting into human form to observe various social interactions while simultaneously acting as a dedicated caretaker for the elderly tengu, Akadama-sensei.
