Akeno Shiranui

Serving as a dedicated mermaid examiner, this aquatic warrior is tasked with deporting any mer-person who fails to pass for human or risks exposing their true identity. Although she initially displays a hostile demeanor toward the main protagonists, her icy exterior eventually melts into genuine compassion. However, her path becomes complicated when the series' final antagonist manipulates her training as a Knight to manipulate her sense of duty.
