Gold grew up in Wakaba Town's famous "Poké House." A reckless trainer who travels by scooter and wears signature goggles, he is known for the unconventional way he launches Pokémon using a billiard cue. While he has a stubborn streak and can be dishonest or prone to exaggeration to impress others, his quick-wittedness makes him effective in battle. He is easily distracted by food, gambling, and pretty girls, but his carefree attitude hides a deep loyalty to his friends.
