This noble figure, nephew to Duke Otto von Braunschweig, played a pivotal, albeit violent, role in the imprisonment of Rear Admiral Wolfgang Mittermeyer in 486 Imperial Calendar. Driven by wounded pride after Mittermeyer accused him of cowardice, he attempted a brutal confrontation, only to be ultimately thwarted when Admiral Reinhard von Müsel intervened, preventing a fatal outcome.
