Kiki

Kiki is a 13-year-old witch starting a yearlong solo journey away from her small village. While her magic is limited to communicating with her cat and practicing broom flight, her enthusiasm drives her forward. Her design was inspired by Akiko Hayashi’s original long-haired concept, though she ultimately received a short haircut to simplify the animation process. Her travels are defined by a mix of excitement and uncertainty as she moves toward adulthood.
