Gaku Manabe

A high-energy classmate and loyal companion to Naota, this eccentric student brings a frantic energy to his group of friends. Often found alongside Masashi, he is a walking encyclopedia of strange, often scandalous, urban legends and rumors. He is famously known for his linguistic quirk of constantly using the word "chu" (or "smooch" in English translations) when discussing Haruko, a playful pun referencing both his role as a mouse in a school play and the sound of a kiss.
