Broly is the latest incarnation of the legendary Super Saiyan, a rare force said to appear only once every millennium. Despite being born to a low-class Saiyan and his father Paragus, his immense combat potential terrified King Vegeta, resulting in his exile to the desolate planet Vampa. After years of isolation on the planet, he was recovered by the Frieza Force, leading him directly into a confrontation with Goku.
