An easygoing fisherman from the East Blue, this former bounty hunter is known for his cheerful yet occasionally dimwitted personality. While he often shares a silly, lighthearted bond with his companion Yosaku, he possesses a more serious side than his friend. Despite his tough occupation, he can be incredibly cowardly, famously abandoning Roronoa Zoro to flee to safety alongside Usopp during intense moments of danger.
