Yuusei Nishida

Yuusei Nishida was a competitive player who faced Chihaya, Arata, and Taichi during elementary school. After a heavy loss to Arata, the Mizusawa High School sophomore quit karuta to play tennis. He eventually returned to the sport thanks to Chihaya's persistence. Currently a member of both the school's karuta club and the Suihoku Society, he is a friendly, somewhat stout student who often gets teased by his classmates.
