Yubaba is the greedy proprietor of a sprawling bathhouse for spirits. A powerful sorceress capable of transforming into a bird, she maintains control over her domain through binding contracts used to steal the names of her employees. While she is known for her cruelty, she shows a rare tenderness when caring for her massive son.
