Fired from Team Magma after a failed Groudon experiment, this character sought a rare energy source to power regeneration. He and his girlfriend discovered the crystallized cocoon of Jirachi in Forina. Later, he helped Ash, Brock, May, and Max awaken Jirachi, which led to a desperate attempt to recreate Groudon, resulting in a monstrous, evil entity. With the help of the group, this false Groudon was destroyed, and the couple chose to protect the Pokémon of Forina.
