After witnessing Arceus sacrifice itself to stop a meteor shower, this protector was gifted the Jewel of Life to restore the barren Michina Town. Though burdened by a promise to return the artifact during a solar eclipse, he was manipulated by the treacherous Marcus, who used hypnosis to orchestrate a betrayal of the deity. Alongside Ash and his loyal Pichu, he eventually overcame this manipulation, reconciled with Arceus, and worked to protect the future alongside his new friends.
