Nozomu Itoshiki

Driven by an intense, paranoid pessimism, this high school educator is the youngest member of the Itoshiki family. Known for his frequent cries of "I'm in despair!", his gloomy outlook stems from joining a "Negative Club" during his freshman year. While he often makes dramatic, failed suicide attempts, his social life is complicated by several female students who harbor unrequited feelings for him due to simple misunderstandings. His character serves as a dark, comedic homage to Dazai Osamu’s literary masterpiece.
