Tsuchinoko

Believed to be the legendary cryptid known as the tsuchinoko, this Mongolian Death Worm-a type of kuragari-served as a sacred figure within Jiji’s village. The local community, particularly the influential Kito Family, held the creature in high regard, venerating it as the Great Snake. This deep-seated reverence transformed the creature, known as Tsuchinoko, into a central pillar of local folklore and spiritual significance.
