Franz Heim

Serving as the commanding officer for the NVA's Western Theatre Forces, Franz Heim holds a significant military position within East Germany's forces. Known for his moderate and politically detached nature, Heim admits to being somewhat uncharismatic and ineffectual. He maintained a long-standing friendship with Alfred Strachwitz, the father of Katia Waldheim, and played a role in introducing Strachwitz to Ernestine, one of his subordinates.
