Souta Munakata travels across Japan as a "closer," a wandering young man dedicated to sealing mysterious doors that trigger catastrophic disasters. His mission leads him toward a specific set of ruins to prevent an impending catastrophe, but his path changes when he meets Suzume. Tasked with maintaining the balance between worlds, he deals with the dangers of these supernatural gateways while managing a growing connection to a newcomer.
