After mistaking Ami’s academic obsession with her rival, Mercurius, for romantic passion, the entity uses a "Love Letter Attack" to drain the girl's hard-earned knowledge. However, the plan fails when a delirious Ami transforms into Sailor Mercury, using her Aqua Mirage power to ultimately destroy the encroaching darkness.
