Tomoe Yukishiro

Born into a low-ranking samurai family serving the Tokugawa Shogunate in Edo, this devoted elder sister acted as a maternal figure to her younger brother, Enishi, following their mother's untimely death. Though she practiced Buddhism as mandated by the Shogunate, she remained a private individual who struggled to voice her true feelings. Instead, she relied on personal diaries to capture the deep emotions and inner reflections she could not openly share with the world.
