Mitsuru Kiruta

As the commanding leader of Earth's defense forces, this character harbors a deep-seated rivalry with Harlock, relentlessly pursuing his elimination. Haunted by the tragic loss of his father, mother, and sister during a mission, he blames the government and dedicated his military career to enacting change. Despite his efforts to warn of the Mazone invasion, he ultimately sacrificed himself to protect the Arcadia computer against the invaders.
