Rei Hino

Rei Hino is an elegant shrine maiden with the ability to sense and banish evil. While she maintains these powers in her civilian life, she truly utilizes her fire-based abilities when transformed into Sailor Mars. Though she often appears serious and finds Usagi's frivolity exasperating, she remains a devoted friend to her. Early character interpretations suggested Rei was boy-crazy, but both the manga and live-action series establish her lack of interest in romance.
