Yamane Yoshitaka

A student at Mifune Junior High, this character uses his position to tease classmates. When pressured by friends, he participates in a confrontation that leads to a revelation about his feelings toward baseball. Discovering he can no longer play due to an injury, he learns to adapt by learning to throw with his left arm. This experience leads him back to the team, where he plays first base, and he eventually attends Mifune High School with Komori.
