A peasant from Kanna, this character journeys alongside Kirara in a quest to find the samurai. Driven by intense anger towards bandits, he is often impulsive, carrying the weight of losing his wife, Sanae, to the raiders. Through Kambei's promise, he eventually reunites with Sanae. Struggling with his perceived weakness against the bandits, he yearns for strength, briefly considering becoming a machine samurai. His bond with Gorobei helps him develop courage and self-assurance, ultimately transforming him into a more confident individual after facing life's trials alongside the samurai.
