As the timid Class 1-A President, this student struggles with a deep-seated fear of the dark and anything remotely frightening. Though he has harbored long-standing romantic feelings for the Vice President, Momoka, his extreme shyness prevents him from expressing his true emotions. While his pure-hearted nature makes him difficult for others to tease, his academic success as the top of his cohort inadvertently created unexpected complications for Haruhi during the manga's storyline.
