After demonstrating exceptional skill while piloting a Koubu prototype during a maritime trial, this talented commander was selected to lead the Hanagumi. Although he originally worked alongside Kayama, their paths diverged when Kayama joined the Tsukigumi, leaving him to spearhead his own division. During the events of the television series, he further solidified his leadership by stepping in to serve as the temporary Assistant Commander, showcasing his immense strategic value to the fleet.
