Casshern

Originally known as Tetsuya Azuma, this tragic hero underwent a transformation into a neo-human after volunteering for the procedure. Driven by the need to stop the rogue creation Black King from conquering Earth, the scientist Kotaro Azuma facilitated the change that birthed the legendary Casshern. Accompanied by the robotic dog Friender, he fights to protect humanity, even as the loss of his parents, Kotaro and Midori, haunts his ongoing battle against mechanical destruction.
